How to manage conflicts between side job and main job

There are many reasons to have a side job. Getting additional incomes and personal satisfaction are two reasons that are common. No one wants to face hardship in this life because of living in poverty. One of the ways to find a solution to the financial problem is to get a side job. Additional income is needed to get a rise or to obtain certain goal in this life. We want to continue our study or need to buy a house, a car or many properties that time we need additional income. There are two types of getting additional income. They are getting a side job at another company or institution or starting business.

There will be many problems to have a side job. Some companies do not allow its employees to get side job because the employees will be less productive and effective. The most problems that come up when someone does a side job are time management, and conflicts of interest between side job and main job. I am sure if you are one of people who do side job you have many solution to your problem. This is going to be hard when someone starts to have a side job.

Having many problems do not mean to stop getting a side job. There is always a lot of solution. A strong motivation can make everyone overcome all obstacles. The first, we are not allowed to take aside our main job because most income comes from the main job. Main job is the first priority and side job is the second. All conflicts of interest between main job and side job will appear but how to manage the conflicts is more important than stand on the conflicts.

Making clear and strict rules is necessary to avoid the conflicts. It is not allowed to mix between main job and side job, for instance when we are a web designer in a company we may have your personal order we can not use our office facilities to do our side job. Our supervisor is going to warn as when he/she know that we do our side job in the office. We can take our free time in the evening or weekend to finish our side job order at home. Well, we have to be a good manager for ourselves so that there are no conflicts of interest that make us loose the opportunity either in our main or in our side job.
